Classes & Workshops
YMTC offers training experiences year-round that allow students to shine up their performing and technical skills so they are better prepared for YMTC’s auditions, mainstage shows, as well as opportunities outside of YMTC.
Programs are generally open to students 7th grade through university. 6th graders may apply through special application. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
YMTC is dedicated to creating accessible arts programming for all of our students. Learn more about our Tuition Assistance & Scholarships Program.
Hone your auditioning skills in these day-long classes offered intermittently throughout our season. Whether you have auditioned dozens of times, or you are a beginner, learn how to give your best audition for YMTC or any other theater company. Open to all levels 7th grade through university.
These fun and rigorous seasonal workshops allow students 7th grade through university to work on ensemble singing, choreography and movement, acting for musical theater, and developing character through the lens of a show. No audition is necessary. A works-in-progress presentation is held on the final day of the intensive for an invited audience.
Pit Orchestra Apprenticeship Program
YMTC invites student instrumental musicians to join our pit orchestras for almost every production. Motivated students receive exceptional musical training through our apprenticeship model and gain valuable experience playing alongside local professionals.
