Janet Collard
is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in the San Francisco bay area.  Janet studied dance and choreography as an undergraduate at CalArts, then received her MFA in dance performance and choreography at Mills College.  She has worked with many local bay area choreographers and is currently a member of Katie Faulkner’s little seismic dance company and Nancy Karp and Dancers.  Janet  was a member of AXIS Dance Company from 2008-2011.  With AXIS she performed all over the country and danced in the works of choreographers David Dorfman, Joe Goode, Kate Weare, Alex Ketley and Shinichi Iova-Koga.  She has produced and performed her own work in the San Francisco bay area and southern California. She has also done choreography for Shotgun Players, Berkeley Playhouse and for pre and professional dancers in the bay area. Janet started working with YMTC in 2015 on the original show Don’t Stop Me and followed up with Company, Carousel, Spring Awakening.

Diana Lee is a classically trained pianist and cellist. She did her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, and has been teaching, performing and freelancing ever since. She maintains her own private studio in the East Bay, and has been the Music Director for various theater companies throughout the Bay Area including the San Francisco Arts Education Project, Pacifica Spindrift Players, Spindrift School of Performing Arts, and Bay Area Educational Theater Company. Most recently she has been working with San Francisco Bay Area Theater Company and, of course, with YMTC. She has played in the pit for many YMTC shows since 2012, and is grateful for the continued opportunity to work with the incredible staff and students in the program.

Susan “Sooz” Worthing is a theatre artist educator who has been working in the Bay Area for over 30 years. She has developed and implemented innovative drama programs for East Bay independent schools, including Park Day School, Community School of the Bay, and Berkwood-Hedge School. Sooz has also worked as a theatre teaching artist in public and charter schools throughout the Bay Area. Sooz is the founding producer and artistic director of the Young Actors Workshop of the East Bay, a high profile youth theatre training and performance program.  Sooz has also taught theatre arts for youth and adults at College of Marin and Contra Costa College. She is thrilled to be working at YMTC for the first time this summer, and returning to the musical theatre work that she she first fell in love with when she was a middle schooler!

Katie Elman is a rising junior at The Hartt School of Music, Dance, and Theatre pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Katie began dancing and singing at a young age and after her first show in 7th grade with YMTC, knew that theatre was what she had to do with the rest of her life! She is overjoyed to be returning to YMTC, which she credits for instilling in her an enormous passion for storytelling as well as  providing her invaluable, professional training. Along with YMTC, she has performed with various Bay Area companies, including Woodminster Amphitheatre. At The Hartt School, she performed in The Children’s Hour, and recently finished a production of Amour with direction by John Pike.
