Apprenticeship Levels and Tuition

Level: We assess aptitude through applications, past performance, availability, and/or interview. 

Prerequisites/Theater Experience: Varies per Department. Some departments are based on hard skills (ie sewing) and others might be based on creative vision or organization skills/experience. If you want more information about specific prerequisites for a specific department, please contact molly@ymtcbayarea.org 

Once a student shows mastery of the Advanced Apprenticeship, they qualify to apply for a paid position in the YMTC Middle School Production.

*Choreography apprentices will have more rehearsal days and flexible performance days which depend on the choreography in the show. The Scenic Design/Carpentry apprentices may work up to two days building during the rehearsal process.
