BROADWAY DANCE MASTERCLASS: My Fair Lady

YMTC alum Derek Luscutoff will be teaching a 90 minute master dance class based on his current work with the Broadway touring company of My Fair Lady. Derek will instruct the students on musical theater dance technique using a combo of the original Broadway choreography. The workshop is limited to 20 students; acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. No audition necessary; intermediate to advanced dance students welcomed.
SUMMER 2024 INTENSIVES
Each workshop is limited to 15-20 students; acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Open to students in 7th – 12th grades; no audition necessary, all experience levels welcome.

Songs and Scenes
Dates: July 15th–26th (2 week session, Monday–Friday)
Times: 10am-4pm
Grades: 7th-12th
Location: Bolivar Campus
Students will learn and rehearse a selection of songs and scenes (solos, duets, small groups) from musicals, with an emphasis on acting and singing skills. Students will develop characters, refine their musicianship and vocal technique, and learn about being part of an ensemble as they work towards an invitational works-in-progress presentation at the end of 2 weeks of rehearsal.

- SESSION 1 – July 29th–August 2nd (1 week)
- SESSION 2 – August 5th–9th (1 week)
Times: 10am-4pm
Grades: 7th-12th
Location: Bolivar Campus
A one week intensive with a focus on big song and dance numbers from musicals, and an emphasis on learning choreography, dance technique and ensemble singing. Students will develop characters, refine their dance and vocal technique, and learn about being part of an ensemble as they work towards an invitational works-in-progress presentation at the end of the week.
